Noia hosts a course from the University of Coruna on future tourism challenges for the Galician tourism sector

Sustainability, digitalisation and quality are the most important challenges facing tourism in Galicia, which grows and consolidates as a tourist destination year after year. In the same way, the geo destinity Muros-Noia, which from 17 to 19 June will host the summer course of the University of Coruna “Retos do turismo en Galicia: dixitalización, sustentabilidade e calidade”, aimed at both students and tourism graduates and professionals in the sector, with the aim of continuing their training and acquiring skills that will help them plan resources and propose services in such a way that attractive, efficient and sustainable tourist products are built that have a positive impact both on the sector and on the socioeconomic fabric of the territory as a whole.

The programme of the course includes lectures in which the transformation of the Galician tourist system in the current context will be analysed, as well as trends, opportunities, challenges and difficulties faced by the sector, as well as lectures to provide professionals with ICT tools that allow them to face them successfully. There will be no shortage of debates on turisphobia, gentrification or the evolution of accommodation, with the emergence of platforms such as AirBnB, without forgetting quality as a differentiating element.
