More than one hundred professionals will attend the presentation of the Galician MICE sector at the IBTM World Trade Fair in Barcelona

In an event led by Silvia Jato next Wednesday, the potentialities and infrastructures of Galicia for congress tourism will be exposed to international operators.

More than one hundred event and congress tourism professionals have confirmed their attendance at the presentation ceremony of the MICE Galician sector that will take place next Wednesday, November 29, in Barcelona, as part of the IBTM World fair, considered one of the most important in the world in this field. The event is promoted jointly by five business organisations with the support of the Galician Tourism Cluster, with the aim of promoting Galicia as a destination MICE and making known the great potential of the sector.
The presentation, which will take place at 1 p. m. at the IBTM World’s Espacio Dome, and will be led by journalist Silvia Jato from Lugo, will show international operators the potentialities and infrastructures of Galicia for congress tourism. The event is promoted by OPC Galicia (Organizadores Profesionales de Congresos), the Association of Galician Congress Centres, HOSPECO (A Corunna’s Hotel Business Association), ASEHOPO (Asociación de Empresarios de Hospedaje de la provincia de Pontevedra) and Galicia Destino Golf. It gives continuity to the alliance already established in 2016 between these entities, in order to strengthen the positioning of our Community as a destination for congresses and events of all dimensions.
Galician businessmen will distribute in Barcelona the latest USB version of the guide Galicia MICE, which facilitates the localization of resources to promoters and organizers of meetings, incentive trips, conventions, fairs or exhibitions. The guide is organized by sectors and venues and includes conference halls, hotels, event management companies, golf courses, incentive tourism initiatives and, in general, all resources such as audiovisual services companies, set design, transport, graphic services or hostesses. The guide, designed in PDF format, is backed up by a web portal with constantly updated information (www.galiciamice.com)
