With the collaboration of the Galicia association Destination Golf, Tourism Galicia drives this sporting event which will end in October at the Balneario de Mondariz

Regarded as a landmark event nationwide, Madrid hosted the start of the new edition of Circuit Senior Golf, which this year reaches its sixth edition and will play its qualifying on golf courses from different parts of Spain.

Prompted by Tourism Galicia in collaboration with the Galicia association Destination Golf, this circuit held in Spain since 2011 has managed to create a gap in the niche of these older athletes 50 years. The ultimate goal is to consolidate Galicia as a golf destination in sporting events associated with thermal tourism, aiming for a quality tourism product and multiexperiencial targeting specific audience segments, contributing to the seasonality of tourism in Galicia.

Circuit qualifying phase took place in Madrid, in the field of Jarame RACE Club and will end on July 7 in Asturias, in the Real Club de Golf Lana Barganiza. Between these two dates, the event will also be played at the Alta Golf Club of La Rioja, on June 8, at the Country Club Manor Zuasti Navarra, June 23 and the Real Nuevo Club San Sebastian Basozabal, day 29. The final will take place in Galicia, on the golf Mondariz Spa, on 10 and 11 October.

Tournament Pilgrimage

This same field Mondariz also recently hosted the VII Tournament Pilgrimage, with the participation of 169 golfers from the Spanish Association of Seniors Golf, AESGOLF, from all over Spain with the aim of publicizing the possibilities of Galicia for sport practice golf and to enjoy thermal offer between participants and their companions.
