V Circuito Golf Sénior Turismo de Galicia

Parador El Saler hosted the start of this test with the participation of a hundred players

Parador El Saler, in Valencia, hosted the first stage of the Senior Golf Tourist Circuit of Galicia which is held from April to September in different parts of Spain. A hundred senior players of this sport came together to enjoy the practice of golf and Galician cuisine, which always accompanies the celebration of this event.

José García Martínez won the Scratch category with 25 points and second place in this category went to Isabel Castillo del Carpio with 24 points. The handicap winner was Mª Jesús with 41 stableford points, followed by Máximo Martín Pastor who achieved a result of 38 points. In the ladies category, the best was Rosa Mª Roig Escutia with 40 points and the winner of the mastersenior category (player over 70 years old) was Francisco Ansurias Climent with 37 points. As for the special prizes, the best drive, Martin Códax prize, was won by Lisán Peiró Camaró in the female category and Sergio Segura Laborada in the men’s category. The closest ball on hole 9, Aceites Abril prize was for José García Martínez (1.59 m) and on hole 12, Viña Farnadas prize was awarded to Isabel Castillo del Carpio (1.64 m). The prize forrabolas courtesy of the Hotel Rua Villar and Real Aeroclub of Santiago was for the penultimate classified handicap, Ronny Constantino and the prizes melon, in Scratch it was for Carmelo Andújar, in handicap it was won by Mario Sanfelix, ladies for Natividad Sánchez and the mastersenior was obtained by José Luis Martín.

The next event will be held on May 14 in Ulzama while the final will take place on September 24 and 25 in the field of the hotel Balneario Oca Augas Santas in Ribeira Sacra.
