The tourist thermal project “A break in the Ways” is presented in Porto

Promoted by Expourense and its brand Termatalia, the Asociación de Balnearios de Galicia, Grupo Caldaria and the Federación Provincial de Hostelería de Ourense with the support of the Galician Tourism Cluster and the Galician Tourism Agency.

Travel agencies and media from the North of Portugal, a strategic market for Galician tourism, were presented before.

The Loja Interactiva Welcome Center in Porto, Portugal, hosted the presentation of the initiative “Un descanso en los Caminos” in an event attended by travel agencies, tourism companies and the media of Northern Portugal. It is a joint project promoted by Expourense and its brand Termatalia, the Association of Spas of Galicia, Grupo Caldaria and the Provincial Federation of Hotel of Ourense that in the framework of the contest of ideas promoted by the Cluster Tourism Galicia launches a thermal tourism product that includes stays in the Galician spas of the different Ways of Santiago.

“Un descanso en los Caminos” has the objective of influencing the aspect of the commercialization of this product, so that it benefits not only the companies of the thermal sector of Galicia, but other companies and tourist activities of the complementary offer, facilitating its integration before different channels, prioritizing the market of proximity so much in Spain as North of Portugal.

The presentation of Porto obeys the search of its promoters to promote the project in the North of Portugal, a strategic market for Galicia, to look for job opportunities and to be able to sell as a joint destination both to Galicia and to the North of Portugal, facing the celebration of the Xacobeo 2021 since the project is oriented to pilgrims, but also to the rest of travellers interested in Galicia.

In this afternoon’s presentation, in which the director of Termatalia and councillor of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Emma González; the manager of the Association of Spas of Galicia, Benigno Amor, participated; the co-manager of the company of tourist services Autoxiro, Emilio Cuíñas, and the representative of Tourism Porto e Norte, Joao Sabino, has distributed the promotional leaflet with the summary of the project, the promoters and participants and the reference to the web page where agencies like interested public can accede to the detailed information so much of the spas as of the created experiences. This brochure will also be present at promotional events and fairs in which the Galician Tourism Cluster participates.

This presentation is the second of the project’s execution actions. The first one took place in the frame of Termatalia, International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing and consisted in the organization of a “Workshop and Fam trip” centered in the tourist products oriented to the Way of Santiago based on the offer of Spas of Galicia.
