Companies in the tourism sector in Galicia can request the energy efficiency aid that Turismo de Galicia has launched until November 14, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. This call, financed with 10 million euros from European funds, is aimed at both accommodation and restaurant establishments.

The subsidies cover up to 70% of the cost of improvement projects, and can reach 80% or even 90% if significant savings in non-renewable primary energy are demonstrated. Eligible actions include the improvement of the thermal envelope, the installation of photovoltaic systems and the renovation of household appliances, among other initiatives.

One of the main novelties of this edition is that a minimum age of the buildings is no longer required, also allowing their partial rehabilitation, instead of requiring complete renovation.

The funded works must be completed before April 2025, providing a key opportunity for Galician tourism businesses to update their infrastructure with a more sustainable approach. Applications can be processed through the electronic headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia using the procedure code TU986B.
