  • Tourism establishments are eligible for this subsidy

The Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape) launched a call for urgent aid aimed at supporting the recovery of commercial, industrial, tourism, and business establishments that were damaged by the forest fires that occurred in Galicia this summer of 2025.

The subsidies, of a direct and exceptional nature due to their public and social interest, will cover up to 100% of the damage caused, including repairs or replacements of buildings, facilities, machinery, merchandise, and even vehicles linked to the activity. The maximum amount per beneficiary will be €600,000, although it may be increased to €1.5 million in the most serious cases, when a significant socioeconomic impact or job preservation is justified.

  • The application period ends on September 30th

The application period will remain open until Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., and must be submitted electronically through the Igape website. The procedure code is IG100A.

Potential beneficiaries include individuals and legal entities that own businesses located in areas affected by the fires. Agricultural, livestock, or forestry operations, as well as activities related to the generation, transportation, or distribution of energy, are excluded, except for self-consumption facilities within the establishment itself.

The regulations establish that these contributions will be subsidiary to other public or private compensation, but may supplement them to cover the total damages certified in the appraisal report. Payment will be made in a single installment, by bank transfer, within fifteen business days following the favorable resolution.
