Good occupation in September for non-hotel accommodation in Galicia

Travellers and overnight stays grew campsites, lodges, tourist apartments and rural tourism

Galician tourist apartments hosted in September, 32% more passengers than in the same period last year, while the overnight stays increased by 30%, registering a total of 41321 last septimebre. In the case of the Galician campsites this growth was even greater, with more than 24,500 users, representing 47.7% more than a year ago more- almost 8,000 people.

During the first nine months of overnight stays they increased 8.7% over the same period of 2015. Overnight stays by residents exceeded 4.22 million in September, with more than 1.89 million passengers; while those from the European Union (excluding Spain) amounted to 7.09 million, more than 1.05 million passengers. The rest of the world, 756,347 overnight stays were registered, with 163,348 travelers.
