With the aim of promoting excellence in care to pilgrims and proper management of resources linked to the Camino de Santiago, Galicia Tourism announces a new edition of its Awards Camino de Santiago. With an endowment of 75,000 euros these eight awards recognize public and private initiatives developed in Galicia intended to preserve, improve and beautify the environment of the Xacobeas Trails; to create new services for the pilgrim or to improve existing ones and to disseminate and promote the excellence of the Camino de Santiago.
The call is already published in the DOGA and the deadline for applications is one month from the day following the date of publication in the Official Journal.
Eight prizes will be awarded in four categories, the first, second and third with a prize of 15,000 eurosy a second prize of 5,000 euros. For the third category, the prize is 10,000 euros (research mode) and 5,000 euros for the quarter, led to jobs linked to the Jacobean Route in schools primary and secondary.
