The health crisis has disrupted the calendar of actions also in the Galician wine routes and forces them to adapt to the new circumstances. This Saturday, for example, is the day of the #MovimientoVinoDO that has been celebrated for four years to claim the wines protected under designations of origin. In view of the impossibility of making this personal toast, the D.O. Ribeira Sacra proposes to do it virtually through a contest with which the D.O. invites us to send photos toasting with D.O. Ribeira Sacra wine to spread them on the networks with the #BrindisMovimientoVinoDO #BrindisDORS and thus to value the work of our winegrowers and winemakers. The 3 most voted photos between May 9th and 13th will receive prizes to be enjoyed in the establishments of the Ribeira Sacra (guided tours, meals or hotel nights) that will make their authors enjoy the riches of the Ribeira Sacra Wine Route, whenever possible. To participate, all you have to do is send a photo by Whatsapp to the telephone number 647 59 57 47 between the 6th and 00.00 on the 13th of May.
Online seminars
For its part, the Rías Baixas Wine Route has decided to launch two online training seminars through the platformWine Tourism School, which will offer two talks co-financed with a line of aid from the Diputación de Pontevedra. The first seminar will serve to address the possible scenarios left by this health crisis and will take place on May 11 at 12 pm by the co-founders of Wine Tourism School, David Mora, Manuel Romero, from Dinamiza and Fernando Redondo, director of AC + Consultants.
The second seminar will take place on May 14th at 12 noon on the necessary measures in the field of health and safety to be applied by the wineries once they can resume their wine tourism activity. Once again, the co-founders of Wine Tourism School will lead this talk which will focus on the more technical aspects of the measures to face the coronavirus crisis.
