In its commitment to astronomical tourism the Xunta de Galicia, through the Department of Environment, come to install in the National Park of the Atlantic Islands four large star planispheres that will facilitate visitors to observation and interpretation of the night sky allowing them to identify Which celestial objects remain visible and which are hidden at a certain time.

Specifically, these stellar charts are at the top of the Bell in Cies; In the zone of Caniveliñas, in Ons; In Punta Fradiño, in Cortegada; And in the Village of Sálvora. Thanks to its placement, the contemplation of the stars can be realized at any time and day of the year, taking advantage of a visit to the National Park of the Atlantic Islands, a space credited by Unesco as a destination Starlight.

This new action is part of the activities to develop attractive products for the visitor based on the observation and contemplation of the night sky and the stars as informative talks and activities of photography of the skies during the night and are projected training courses for Guides and the elaboration of informative material of support. There were also starlight routes with amateur astronomers with educational experience in the Cíes Islands and in the campsites of this and Ons presented activities for families and children under the title Discovering Our Skies.
