The 13th edition of the “Outono Gastronómico en Turismo Rural” will be held between 13 September and 15 December throughout Galicia by 86 participating establishments that, in addition to accommodation, will offer different menus made with Galician seasonal products.

As a novelty this year, under the brand “Autumn Plus” will offer other activities such as horseback riding, hiking trails, visits to wineries or places of scenic or cultural interest, sporting activities, thermal circuits or even an escape room.

The holder of Culture and Tourism, Roman Rodriguez explained that the data support the “successful formula” of this activity. In which respects the latest edition, about 5,000 people decided to approach some of the 86 establishments adhered, generating a turnover of more than 300,000 euros. Participating businesses rated with a 4.7 out of 5 their experience in this event and nine out of ten were in favor of repeating the experience.

In this year’s edition will participate 86 rural tourism establishments, 24 in A Coruña, 22 in Pontevedra and 20 in Lugo and Ourense that will offer menus between 30 and 300 euros. Between the modalities that will offer to enjoy this activity in couple, in family or with friends figure the Gastronomic Autumn Menu -without spending the night-, the Gastronomic Autumn Package for one night, the Gastronomic Autumn Weekend for two nights or the Gastronomic Autumn Family Weekend for two nights with children.

In the act of presentation of this activity, Roman Rodriguez also had words to applaud “the good to do of our rural tourism establishments,” a type of accommodation that during the first half of the year experienced an increase of about 12% in its number of travelers throughout Galicia.

The Galician Governor works at this height in a Rural Tourism Strategy that includes a star rating for this type of establishments, as with all other typologies.
