The Official Gazette of Galicia published last Friday, January 19, the call for subsidies for tourism projects for the promotion of food and wine tourism, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union-NextGenerationEU. The aid is broken down into three lines of action:

 

The first, with a budget of 2,610,000 euros, promotes the adaptation and beautification of tourist establishments (hotels or restaurants) to enhance wine tourism services (specific winery services, activities aimed at knowledge and dissemination of the entire related to wine, elaboration, tasting…). These tourist establishments must be linked to a winery and/or part of their vineyards.

 

The second line, with a budget of 590,000 euros, covers digital projects promoted by tourist accommodation and restaurant establishments that highlight wine and gastronomic products and encourage visits. It also includes technological development applied to tourism marketing, personalization, the development of quality audiovisual content and the use of interactive tools.

 

The third line, with a budget of 2,300,000 euros, covers the expansion and improvement of accommodation capacity that involves the provision of new accommodation places, with respect to those registered in the REAT, and that are linked to the start-up of food and wine experiences, such as visits at origin that highlight the process of creating the raw material, its care, collection, processing, preparation of the final product, as well as interactive cooking or showcooking experiences, tastings and tastings.

 

The application submission period is five months, ending on June 19, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Remember that to process it you must access through the electronic headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia, procedure code TU503I.
