Galicia adds four more municipalities to the Network of Smart Tourist Destination

The adhesion of Carballeda de Valdeorras, Castrelo de Miño, Oímbra and Vilariño de Conso has just been approved by the executive committee of the entity.

 

Almost six months after the last incorporations, the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations, promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, has resumed the process of accession of new members, giving entry to 17 new members, bringing its total number to 635, of which 454 are destinations; 87, institutional members; 91, collaborating companies and 3, observers. And once again, Galicia stands out among the communities with the greatest presence in the STD Network by incorporating four more municipalities, bringing the total number of members to more than 80.

 

The new Galician representatives are Carballeda de Valdeorras, Castrelo de Miño, Oímbra and Vilariño de Conso, all municipalities located in the province of Ourense, and their adhesion to the STD Network was approved at the meeting of the executive committee held in recent days under the chairmanship of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosana Morillo, and of which the Pontevedra Provincial Council is part.

 

The meeting also approved the renewal of the protocol of adhesion to the Network and the modification of the regulations, and it was also announced that the private area of its website will have a new section of data and reports (SDG indicators, movement of people, housing for tourist use, municipal indicators …) to “promote the culture of data for the benefit of better management”.
