After two years without celebrating a test of the Circuit of senior Golf Turismo of Galicia in the Principality, the Real club of Golf of Castiello was the scene where 99 senior players battled the copper to obtain a place for the great final in the Ribeira Sacra.
Antonio Mortera was the absolute winner in the Scratch category with 31 points, followed in second place by José Luis Cuesta with 27 points. The handicap winner was Manuel Moreno with 40 stableford points, followed by José Miguel Luengo with a result of 38 points. In the Ladies category, the best was Belén Rodriguez-Verela with 36 points. The winner of the senior master category (player over 70 years old) was Edelmira Viñes with 35 points. The winners will play the final on September 24th and 25th in the field of the hotel Balneario Oca Augas Santas in Patón (Lugo).
As for the special prizes, the best drive, Martin Códax prize, the ladies’ prize was won by Mayuti Palacio and the gentlemen’s prize was won by the winner Scratch Antonio Mortera. The nearest ball on the 4th hole, Viña Farnadas prize was awarded to Javier Piedra and Yolanda González won the Aceites Abril prize for the closest ball on the 9th hole. The prize forrabolas courtesy of Hotel Rua Villar and Real Aeroclub de Santiago went to the penultimate classified handicap Antonio Illescas. Then there was a big draw of gifts given by the collaborators, consisting of lots of products, stays and green fees from Galicia.
