The initiative, called Discover Galicia, seeks to establish a long-term collaboration with other tourism groups

Within the framework of the agreement signed between APITgalicia and the former Ministry of Culture and Tourism within the initiatives for the reactivation of the tourist and cultural sectors, the Association of Guides promotes the hiring of official guides for excursions and circuits around Galicia through the program called Discover Galicia.

The initiative seeks to encourage the reactivation of the official tourist guide sector, create synergies with other tourism sub-sectors and establish cooperation that goes beyond the current crisis, laying the foundations for future cooperation.

It should be noted that the program is retroactive which means that all travel agencies that have bet on Galicia during this summer and this fall may apply for 1 of the 200 vouchers that make up the promotion to partially pay for the hiring of an official tourist guide of Galicia, regardless of their membership in Apitgalicia or not. The initiative, which was officially presented on the occasion of World Tourism Day, has the collaboration of the Galician Tourism Agency as part of its work to continue building Galicia as a safe destination and a destination that respects the inhabitants of the cities and towns of Galicia.
