The Xunta de Galicia allocates this aid, endowed with 7.8 million, to hostels and tourist departments, rural tourism establishments, pensions and hotels, with the aim of continuing to promote sustainable tourism and in favor of the environment.

The beneficiaries will obtain up to 90% of the investment with a maximum of 150,000 euros in the action carried out.

To execute the works, there will be a period of one year from the resolution in favor of the granting of aid. The non-renewable primary energy consumption of the accommodations should be reduced by 30% compared to the starting situation. In addition, it will be necessary to have an improvement in the total energy qualification of the building, at least one letter measured in relation to the scale of carbon dioxide emissions.

Establishments may carry out improvement work in terms of the energy efficiency of the thermal envelope; use of renewable energy in thermal installations for heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and domestic hot water. Also included is the installation of hot and cold networks through renewable energy and/or waste heat; In turn, the energy efficiency of lighting installations is improved.
