The Ribeiro and Rías Baixas wine routes hold their Open Days

Wine buses, visits to wineries and activities for the whole family are some of the more than thirty proposals that these routes offer to those who want to dive into these territories.

Eight establishments associated with their own proposals, 30 wineries that open their doors free of charge until Sunday on the Rías Baixas Wine Route, dramatised and linked visits in the case of the Ribeiro Wine Route, without forgetting the wine buses on both itineraries, are some of the proposals offered by the first two wine routes that celebrate the Open Doors Days of the Routes of Wines of Galicia, which will continue next weekend with the activities proposed by Valdeorras, Monterrei and Ribeira Sacra.

From the Rías Baixas Wine Route are very satisfied with the good response of the public to the special activities proposed for this weekend. “The Wine Buses have been full for weeks and we are still receiving calls for information about the reservation. We also have full capacity for the illusionism show on Saturday afternoon, which will be run by Cayetano Lledó,” explains the manager of the non-profit association, Lorena Varela.

In the case of Ribeiro, the big day is Saturday 26th when five wineries from Ourense, Vigo, Pontevedra and Santiago will tour the participating wineries as well as outstanding elements of the historical heritage of this territory such as the Pazo de Antón Losada Dieguez in Boborás, the Monastery of San Clodio in Leiro and the Church of Santa María de Castrelo de Miño.

Throughout these three days the visiting public will be able to participate in the activities that are usually scheduled to visit the wineries that belong to the Ribeiro Wine Route and taste their wines; enjoy food and wine experiences with the special menus offered by our restaurants or relax among the vineyards, as the participating accommodations offer special prices on their stays.

The organization expects to continue to increase the number of participants in this edition following the upward trend that the event has been experiencing since it was held, in 2107 the number of participants increased by 46%.
