Government of Galicia and the Galicia Tourism Cluster present the “Tourism 100×100” program

Galician tourist establishments will have free access to advice and consulting ‘on line’

The president of the Galicia Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, said today that “nowadays it is not enough to have one of the best and safest destinations” but it is necessary to “work together on common and shared objectives and promote even more the public-private collaboration ”.

Cesáreo Pardal made these statements during the presentation of the “Tourism 100×100” program, promoted by the Cluster and the Vice-Presidency of the Government of Galicia, through which the establishments of the Community will be able to access an online consulting and advice system.

The presentation took place at the Albergue Ideas Peregrinas de Tui, and had the participation of the vice president of the Government of Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, and the director of the Galician Tourism Agency, Nava Castro.

Alfonso Rueda highlighted in his speech that the sector “is knowing how to do the right things” in Galicia and encouraged “to deepen the idea that Galicia is a safe destination, with tourism very in contact with nature and little overcrowded”.

The vice president of the Xunta, who highlighted the importance of making shared services such as advice and consulting available to the establishments, reiterated that the Xunta is “at the disposal of the sector”, because “we are going to face this together”.

The establishments that adhere to the “Tourism 100×100” program will receive individualized advice on aspects such as marketing, finance, strategic planning or legislation, by multidisciplinary teams of experts. Once the query is submitted, the Cluster assigns the most appropriate advisers for each case and makes them available to the establishment for the development of a maximum of five ‘on-line’ meetings lasting two hours each.
