The Galician brand specialising in meetings tourism will attend the international trade fair to be held from 29 November to 1 December.
Galician meetings, incentives, congresses and exhibitions tourism (known as MICE tourism) will once again be present at ITBM World in Barcelona, the sector’s most important international trade fair, which has been held in the Catalan capital since 2004 and whose new edition will take place between Tuesday 29 November and Thursday 1 December.
Galicia MICE, the brand created by a group of groups in the sector with the support of the Galicia Tourism Cluster, will be showcasing its wide range of services and locations at the Turespaña stand. Belén Montero, president of the Galician Association of Conference Centres and member of the Cluster’s executive board, and Pilar López Cordal, events director of EXPOCoruña, will give voice to Galicia MICE in Barcelona along with another 2,000 exhibitors from over a hundred countries. The Galician representation at ITBM World in Barcelona through the Turespaña stand will be completed by the Galicia Tourism Agency, Abramar and A Coruña Tourism.
Around 60,000 meetings are expected to take place during the three days of activities, which will allow the fair to recover and even surpass the numbers prior to the pandemic. This is also the case with the number of visitors already registered.
Galicia MICE is made up of OPC Galicia (Galician Association of Professional Conference Organisers), the Galician Association of Conference Centres, the Association of Hoteliers of Pontevedra (Asehospo), the Business Association of Hoteliers of A Coruña (Hospeco), the Galician Association of Fairs and Events (Agafe), the Compostela Hotel Union and the Compostela Hotel and Catering Association.
