Iberia and Alsa join the promotion of the coming Holy Year by signing agreements that will make the two firms promoters of the Way of Saint James and Xacobeo 2021. Both agreements were made public during Fitur, the International Tourism Fair held last week in Madrid.
Under the agreement signed with Alsa, the mobility operator will promote the image of Xacobeo 2021 on its coaches, as well as offering pilgrims a 15% discount on their return ticket to their places of origin. In the case of Iberia, the company is committed to selling an airplane with the image of Xacobeo 2021 in an action that includes ten informative and promotional actions linked to the coming Holy Year, involving itself once again in the celebration of the Holy Year, as it has been doing since Xacobeo 2004.
Finally, in the case of Vegalsa-Eroski, the agreement signed means the injection of one million euros to Xacobeo while Husqvarna’s adds 550 thousand euros to the sponsorship of the Holy Year. All these sponsorships add up to a total of 9 million euros for the celebration of the next Xacobeo.
“Xacobeo 2021 is a unique showcase for our land. We are facing an exceptional opportunity to show our best version, and in this objective it is essential to have the support of administrations, associations and companies such as Alsa, which is internationally recognised”, explained the Minister of Culture and Tourism, while at another event he highlighted the prestige and international character of a company such as Iberia, whose involvement allows the Xunta to advance in the process of involving companies and civil society in the promotion of the coming Holy Year.
