The Cluster takes the floor at Sportur and at the Empuxe Forum

The president of the Cluster will participate on Friday 25th in Ourense in a round table on sustainability in the Pilgrims’ Ways to Santiago de Compostela.

On Saturday 26th, Cesáreo Pardal will debate in Noia on the role of tourism in the development of the territory.

The Galicia Tourism Cluster will once again be the authoritative voice of the sector over the next few days, taking part in two debate forums in which issues related to the role of tourism in the development of the territory and the need for a sustainable model will be analysed. In both cases, the president of this entity, Cesáreo Pardal, will be in charge of taking the floor to exchange ideas and impressions with experts from the world of business, administration and associations.

The first of these appointments will take place in Ourense, in the framework of the third International Congress of Sports Tourism that will take place within the fifth edition of Sportur Galicia, the Sports and Active Tourism Exhibition.

The activities of the congress are scheduled for Thursday 24 and Friday 25 and include an extensive programme of lectures and round tables in which representatives from the world of sports tourism, the management of natural areas and other sectors related to these areas will take part. The last of the round tables, to be held on Friday 25th at 12.55 pm, will be dedicated to Sustainability in the Ways of St. James and it will be there where the president of the Galicia Tourism Cluster will have the opportunity to chat with Ildefonso de la Campa, Director of Administration and Relations with the Associations of Friends of the Way of St. James, and Begoña Abalo, Product Planner of Tee Travel.

One day later, on Saturday 26th, the Empuxe Forum will be held in the town of Noia, promoted by the Local Development Association DELOA to develop, through a process of citizen participation, its strategy for the period 2023-2027. Its intention is that citizens and entities of the DELOA territory (Boiro, Dodro, Lousame, Muros, Noia, Outes, Padrón, A Pobra do Caramiñal, Porto do Son, Rianxo, Ribeira and Rois) contribute to the process through this day of exchange of opinions.

One of the planned round tables will focus on the relationship between tourism and the territory and will include the participation of Cesáreo Pardal to present the work and lines of work of the Cluster. He will be joined by Eva Castro, director of projects and operations of Alinea ODS and vice-president of the International Network of Promoters of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Spain; Ovidio Queiruga, president of the Community of Mounts of Baroña, and Carlos Rodríguez, employment and local development agent of the City Council of Outes.
