The Tourism Cluster and the Provincial Council of Pontevedra celebrate this week the “rIAs baixas: The path of algorithms” conference

The Cluster, with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra and the Galician Tourism Agency, will hold this week a debate forum focused on the latest technological trends that will mark the future of the tourism sector, in a day under the title “rIAs baixas: El path of algorithms.”

 

The event will take place this Thursday, November 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Plenary Room of the Pazo Provincial of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra (Avda. Montero Ríos s/n, 36071, Pontevedra). Registration to participate remains open for free, until capacity is reached, through the Cluster website.

 

In a world that advances at a dizzying pace in terms of technology, robotics and digital innovations become fundamental factors in the reconfiguration of economic and social sectors, including tourism. For this day we will have renowned experts such as Javier Sirvent, from Technology Evangelist; Elena Ibáñez, from Singularity Experts; Virginia Seguí Monleon, HR Tech Manager; Thais Glod, of InnoBound; Lazarus Royo, of Zeus; Javier Martín, from Renaiss.AI; or Juan Antonio Gómez Bule, from AREXDATA.

 

The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the institutional welcome, which will include the participation of the president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, and the territorial delegate of the Xunta de Galicia in Pontevedra, Agustín Reguera Ocampo. After this, there will be a session that will have three large sections: A talk focused on the practical approach where the latest advances in AI and how robots are used in the tourism industry will be explained, titled “The awakening of Generative AI”; a round table where trends in the sector will be discussed, how training, re-skilling and AI will shape new professions in the tourism industry, titled “Training and employment in the tourism sector”; and another round table on the convergence of advanced technology and the tourism sector, titled “Data, AI and cybersecurity applied to tourism.”
