Cesáreo Pardal participated in the trip led by Carmela Silva and in the workshops held in both cities.
Valencia and Madrid were the two cities chosen by the Provincial Council of Pontevedra to promote in recent days the tourist attractions of the province through workshops. The institution presided by Carmela Silva organised a trip in which thirty companies took part (Alda Hotels, Attica 21 Hotels, Gran Talaso Hotel Sanxenxo, Hotel Bahía de Vigo, Hotel Carlos I Silgar, Hotel Ciudad de Vigo, Hotel La Terraza, Hotel Louxo La Toja, Hotel Pirámide, Hotel San Luis, Hotel Villa Covelo, Paradores, Casa do Sear, Casas A Peregrina and Galicia Villas), incoming agencies (Circuitos Galicia, CNTravel, Galicia Holiday, Simply Galicia, Tee Travel, Viajes Interrías and Viajes Vio Viajes), and complementary offer companies (Sailway, Martín Códax, Terras Gauda and Paco & Lola), as well as the Galician Tourism Cluster, represented by its president, Cesáreo Pardal.
The meetings held in Valencia and Madrid have led to more than 3,000 meetings between the members of the Pontevedra delegation and 160 companies from these two provinces and international operators. This demonstrated the great interest in the Rías Baixas and the province of Pontevedra in general and the good prospects with which the tourism sector faces 2022. “It’s going to be a historic year for tourism: we have everything ready to welcome tourists in a festive way”, explained Carmela Silva.
The possibility of marketing getaways to Vigo with visits to the Cíes Islands during the Christmas holidays, the attractions of the Museum of Pontevedra and the Castle of Soutomaior, the wine tourism offer of Baixo Miño and Salnés, and the heritage and food and wine proposals of the Deza and Terra de Montes regions captivated the professionals from Madrid and Valencia. The two workshops were followed by two events to present the tourism campaigns that the Provincial Council has launched under the title “It’s your moment” and “Hungry for experiences”.
