Turismo Sostenible

  • Establishments that join will be able to participate in the drawing for a climate voucher worth €1,000.

The Galician Tourism Cluster continues to promote sustainability in the hospitality sector through its collaboration with the Hostelería #PorElClimainitiative, a platform that offers bars, restaurants, and leisure venues tools to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their energy efficiency.

This collaboration allows participating establishments to participate in the drawing for a climate voucher worth €1,000, used to renew equipment with more efficient technologies that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Businesses must have been operating for at least one year and complete an online self-assessment on the Hostelería #PorElClima website, where they can learn about their sustainability status and receive personalized recommendations to further reduce emissions.

Since its launch, the initiative has enabled thousands of establishments in Spain to improve their environmental management, serving as an example of how sustainability can be practically integrated into the daily operations of the hospitality industry.

The Cluster emphasizes that membership is free and that these types of initiatives contribute not only to reducing the sector’s environmental impact, but also to optimizing costs and positioning themselves as businesses committed to responsible tourism. In addition, participating establishments can obtain a badge certifying their commitment to climate action. To join the initiative and qualify for the climate bonus, simply complete the online self-assessment and start taking action #ForTheClimate.
