• The grants cover 100% of accommodation in the CSHG residence during training.
  • The requirements to be able to enroll are to have 6 months’ experience in a hospitality business and pass a personal interview remotely or in person.

The Higher Hospitality Center of Galicia (CSHG) has made four scholarships available to the Galician Tourism Cluster that cover 100% of the accommodation in its residence for those who wish to take the Higher Chef Course in Cooking and Pastry, a new degree in one year long. There are still 3 available, open to anyone interested. The scholarships are aimed at those seeking to train at one of the leading institutions in hospitality and gastronomy, both in Galicia and internationally.

The course, which has 24 places available, offers 1,000 hours of training, of which 80% are practical. Students will have the opportunity to carry out three-month internships in top-level restaurants, attend 17 masterclasses taught by Michelin Star chefs and other references in gastronomic trends, as well as visit companies and participate in activities with local producers. In addition, the course culminates with a final project in which students, organized in small groups, will manage an a la carte restaurant for a week, putting into practice everything they have learned.

To qualify for one of these scholarships, candidates must meet certain requirements: have at least six months of experience in the hospitality sector and pass a personal interview, which can be done in person or remotely. In addition to scholarships for accommodation, the CSHG offers other aid for income and academic record, which can cover up to 80% of the tuition cost.

Registration for this course will remain open until September. People interested in applying for one of these scholarships must send an email to secretariatecnica@clusterturismogalicia.com, indicating their full name, telephone number and email. Applications will be dealt with in order of arrival and, if more applications are received than available places, candidates will be placed on a waiting list, since the final selection is the responsibility of the CSHG.

For more information or to register, those interested can consult the training information brochure, or contact the center directly by email at info@cshg.es, by phone at + 981 542 593 / + 34 981 242 559 or by WhatsApp at +34 689 191 007.
