Wine tasting and hiking to celebrate the European Wine Tourism Day

Guided wine and hiking tastings centred on the offer of Enoturismo Galicia, an umbrella brand promoted with the support of the Galician Tourism Cluster and the Galician Tourism Agency and which joins the five routes of Galician wine (Monterrei, Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra, Ribeiro and Valdeorras), on the occasion of the celebration of the European Day of Enotourism, which The aim of the special activities is once again to highlight the quality of the Galician community’s wine and food industry.
Thus, on the Ruta do Viño de Ribeira Sacra, a tasting of four wines from associated wineries will be held on Friday the 10th, led by the sommelier Bruno Lobelle, and will take place at the Centre where four different wineries will be tasted, while the Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas will organise a commented wine tasting on board a catamaran, which will depart from the port of O Grove on the same day. On Sunday, the Ruta do Viño de Ribeira Sacra offers a different day with an Enotourism Day. This will include a PR-G 86 hiking route’ The Ribeira Sacra Vineyard Trail’, a 12 kilometre walk, plus a visit to a winery and food in Doade. This activity has a cost of 20 euros. Meanwhile, in Rías Baixas, on Sunday 12th, the VI Amateur Tasting will take place on the VI Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas Amateur Wine Route, which will gather in the José Peña de Cambados Congress and Exhibition Hall, a hundred oenotourism lovers. The attendees will test their skills as tasters trying to recognize in blind tasting 3 of the 5 wines to be tasted. Winners will receive prizes in the form of enopacks. The activity is free of charge and already has a hundred places covered, even having interested in waiting list.
