The Galicia Tourism Agency has just opened a call for applications that represents a 75% increase in funds compared to 2022.

 

The deadline for submitting applications will be open until mid-February.

 

Galician tourist accommodation and restaurants have a new line of aid to improve their infrastructure. The Galicia Tourism Agency has made public through the Official Journal of Galicia (DOG) on Friday 13 January the regulatory bases of a call that this year, as highlighted from the Xunta, increases its funds by 75% to reach a total of 3.5 million euros.

 

Of this amount, the most important item will correspond to accommodation. Thus, hotel establishments, tourist camps, rural tourism establishments, tourist flats and tourist hostels will be able to share 2.7 million euros, while the remaining 800,000 euros will go to restaurants. If one of the items is not used up, the remaining funds may be allocated to the other.

 

Eligible actions include the improvement of accessibility conditions and the removal of architectural barriers; improvements to facilities with the aim of obtaining quality certifications, especially the Q for Quality; adaptation to regulatory modifications or improvements that increase the category of the establishment; the renovation and modernisation of facilities and the beautification of their surroundings; furnishings necessary for its operation; improvements in air conditioning that favour sustainability with the implementation of energy saving measures, as well as the installation or improvement of air extraction and renewal systems; digitalisation of management and commercialisation systems; and adaptation of health and safety systems.

 

The actions to be subsidised may not exceed 100,000 euros net investment and the maximum amount of aid will be 60 % for projects valued with between 80 and 100 points, 50 % for those obtaining between 60 and 79 points, and 40 % for those receiving between 30 and 59 points. Those receiving a score of less than 30 points from the Evaluation Committeewill not be eligible for support.

 

The deadline for submitting applications is one month from the day following publication of the call for applications in the DOG.
