The Cluster Tourism of Galicia launches its fourth training plan aimed at the Galician tourism sector

The programme is made up of seminars, conferences and workshops that will be given free of charge during September, October and November in 10 Galician locations

Topics such as internationalization, digital marketing, marketing, communication skills or legal environment, among others, will be addressed.

The plan includes a Management Development Programme to be held in Compostela, especially for management staff.

The Galician Tourism Cluster (CTG) is once again implementing an ambitious training plan for professionals in the Galician tourism sector for the next quarter, which will include seminars, workshops, training sessions and a 100-hour management development programme for professionals in positions of responsibility. The programme, which will take place between September and November in ten towns in the four provinces, is the fourth edition of the Training Plan promoted by this entity, which brings together 95% of the Galician tourism sector.
With this initiative in the training field, the Cluster Tourism of Galicia seeks to continue to deepen the qualification of the human teams of the Galician tourism sector, with special emphasis on the management of companies, with the aim of improving their competitiveness through quality in the provision and management of tourism activity, thus meeting one of the objectives set in the Tourism Strategy of Galicia 2020.
Among the topics to be addressed by the different training actions are the global trends in the internationalisation of destinations, digital marketing, excellence in customer service, communication and conflict management skills, as well as the legal environment and the impact of the new Personal Data Protection Regulations.

Some of these workshops will be given in different Galician towns such as Lalín, Pontevedra, Vigo, A Coruña, Sanxenxo, Monforte or in the Costa da Morte area, while others will be held exclusively in Santiago de Compostela.
The final objective is that the greatest number of professionals can have easy and free access to training, so necessary to meet the demands of the current market with guarantees, as has been done in previous editions of this training plan. And it is that, in the words of the president of the Cluster Tourism of Galicia, the aim is that the sector continues to be trained to build a sector with future guarantees, able to offer the tourist a unique, professional and quality experience.

Training for managers
This new edition of the program will be launched on September 4 with a day of presentation of the Executive Program that will take place in Compostela and will feature a talk given by José Alcañiz about one of the topics to be studied in the program, digital marketing oriented to the tourism sector. This programme for executives will last 100 hours and will be given in person in Compostela on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the afternoon between the months of September, October and November. During this time, topics such as differentiation strategies in the tourism company, revenue management, purchase management and financial improvements, digital marketing, strategies and opportunities for internationalization or leadership, among others, will be addressed.
Both this specific programme and the rest of the training activities in this edition will be carried out by the Instituto de Educación Superior Intercontinal de la Empresa (IESIDE), for which a team of professionals with extensive experience in both training and sectoral experience will be available.
