Galicia Tourism has launched a new series of courses as part of its 2026 Training Plan, aimed at improving the skills of those working in the Galician tourism sector. These courses focus on strengthening language skills, inclusive visitor service, and adaptation to an increasingly global market.
One of the highlights is the English Course, a 50-hour online program offering 12 levels from beginner to advanced (A1 to C1+). Designed to improve communication with international clients, the course combines self-assessments and additional resources to strengthen students’ speaking, reading, and writing skills. It is open to both employed and unemployed professionals in the tourism sector. Registration is open until February 2nd.
Another option is the Introductory Course on Sign Language and Deaf People (Level I), with 20 hours of theoretical and practical training aimed at expanding the knowledge and communication skills of tourism staff when interacting with deaf and deafblind individuals. This training promotes more inclusive and sensitive service, combining linguistic content with social and cultural aspects of the deaf community. Registration is open until February 2nd.
Completing this offering, Turismo de Galicia also includes the Video Course “The Power of AI to Transform Tourism in Galicia,” a 150-hour training program funded by NextGeneration-EU funds. This course addresses the application of artificial intelligence in areas such as digital marketing, data management, collaborative tools, and the creation of practical solutions for tourism businesses. It is aimed at employees in the sector and combines theoretical and practical techniques to foster innovation and competitiveness in a constantly evolving technological environment. Available until the end of April.
