Turespaña chooses Galicia to star in its new internationalisation campaign

  • Internationalisation is one of the objectives of the new Galician Tourism Strategy 2030.

Galicia becomes one of the star destinations of the new international campaign of Turespaña 2025, a project that will show the world the cultural, landscape and gastronomic wealth of Spain through a selection of territories with a unique identity.

The filming team was in Ourense last week, capturing the essence of the Galician community in emblematic enclaves. One of the main focuses is the traditional Carnival, with recordings in A Merca and Xinzo de Limia, where one of the most representative Entroidos of Spain is celebrated, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest. These images will be part of the promotion of Galicia as an inland destination, highlighting its authenticity, living traditions and unique landscapes.

In addition to Galicia, the campaign includes other territories with a strong character of their own, such as the communities that make up Green Spain (Asturias, Cantabria and Euskadi), as well as Extremadura and Andalusia. The initiative responds to a commitment to diversify the image of Spain abroad, highlighting less crowded destinations that offer authentic experiences linked to heritage, nature and gastronomy.

This international campaign seeks to attract quality tourism, aligning itself with the trends of travelers looking for differentiated and sustainable experiences. Galicia, with its combination of coast and mountains, its recognized gastronomy and its cultural legacy, thus reinforces its position on the map of international tourism, showing the world an image that goes beyond conventional tourism.
