More than a hundred specialists participated in the International Seminar on Thematic Tourism and Transnational Routes as part of the programme for the 30th anniversary of the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago

In collaboration with the UNWTO and the European Travel Commission, the Galician Agency of Tourism promoted the celebration of the International Seminar on Thematic Tourism and Transnational Routes that brought together in Santiago a hundred professionals with the aim of advancing the implementation of joint tourism experiences in Galicia between the administrations of various areas of the world to help reorient the flow of visitors to other places of interest and thus deepen an orderly tourism model, plan
The initiative, which is included in the programme for the 30th anniversary of the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago as the first European Cultural Itinerary to be held since October, was attended by the Director of Tourism of Galicia, Nava Castro, as well as leading specialists such as the Executive Director of Technical Cooperation and Services of the UNWTO, Zhu Shanzhong, or the President of the European Travel Commission, Peter de Wilde, as well as specialists from several continents who discussed the following topics. Also members of Unesco, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Institute of Cultural Routes. Or the EuroVelo European network of cycling routes, the Atlantic Coastal Route and routes in Central and South America. The seminar, which also includes several workshops, ends on Saturday with a tour of some points of interest in Galicia.
