Tourist trains in Galicia reach 80% occupancy

  • This campaign, launched by Turismo de Galicia in collaboration with Renfe and Inorde, offers 11 routes throughout the Galician geography.
  • This type of tourism combines train travel with visits to places of special tourist interest.

The Galician tourist trains campaign, an initiative of Turismo de Galicia in collaboration with Renfe and Inorde, has already reached 80% occupancy, covering up to 1,650 of the 2,040 seats offered.

This modality of tourism combines trips with visits to places of special tourist interest throughout the Galician geography. This is an initiative that has been carried out since 2013 and that, year after year, evolves to offer a wide range of possibilities to travelers.

This year you can enjoy up to 11 different itineraries: the Ruta dos Quiexos de Galicia, the Ruta de As Mariñas, the Ruta dos faros, the Ruta dos Pazos and the historical gardens, the Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas, the Ruta dos viños de O Ribeiro, the Ruta dos Viños de Monterrei, the Ruta de A lamprea, the Ruta dos monasteiros, the Ruta das camellias en flor and the Ruta experiencia Museo Estrella Galicia in A Coruña; these last two as novelties that achieved 100% occupancy.

These routes bring different particularly attractive places in Galician territory, in addition to publicizing quality wine and gastronomic products, through a sustainable means such as the railway.

The different routes are scheduled until October. The price of tickets is 45 euros for adults and 20 euros for children. All the information about the initiative can be accessed on the Galician Tourism page, but Tickets must be purchased or reserved at the offices of any Renfe station, on the website www.renfe.com, at travel agencies arranged with Renfe, or by calling 912 320 320.
