The fourth edition of the Turespaña Convention, titled “Everything changes again: emerging technologies for a new tourism model”, will be held in Tenerife from October 1 to 3, 2024 at the La Pirámide de Arona Convention Center. This event, organized by the Spanish Tourism Institute (Turespaña), will focus on the digitalization of the tourism sector and how emerging technologies can transform management models and develop new products, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.
Registration to participate in the convention is now open and can be done through the Turespaña website. Around 600 participants are expected to attend in person, including representatives of tourism destination management and promotion organizations, companies and associations of tourism products and services, as well as representatives of public and private organizations, universities and related technology companies. to tourism.
The Turespaña Convention is an annual meeting that facilitates collaboration between the public and private sectors, promoting a networking space to share good practices and establish joint objectives. It will take place over three days, with an agenda divided into several sessions:
The first day, Tuesday, October 1, will be dedicated to bilateral technical meetings between tourism advisors abroad, staff from Turespaña and the Secretary of State for Tourism, along with destinations and tourism companies. This day will serve as a space for technical and strategic coordination.
The other days, Wednesday, October 2 and Thursday, October 3, will focus on presentations and round tables on current tourism topics, including good practices, experiences, market intelligence and sustainability. Both representatives from the public and private sectors will participate, and relevant data from the main tourism markets will be presented by tourism advisors abroad. New technologies will be the central axis of the discussions.
The event will also have a special program organized by Tenerife Tourism, which will include networking sessions to publicize the island’s tourism offering, highlighting its digital and sustainable approach in the economic, social and environmental fields.
