‘A sea of science, a sea of islands’ is the name of the travel guide promoted by the Ministry of the Environment, the Managing Administration of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.
The objective of this publication is to make the points of interest of the island enclaves known to the public, allowing people interested in discovering them to understand the history and ethnography of the territory, and learn about the flora and fauna that inhabits them.
The manual will allow visitors to explore the beaches, viewpoints, natural enclaves and points of historical and cultural interest of the National Park through a story that goes beyond showing its scenic value. The publication has detailed maps of each of the island routes (Cíes, Ons, Sálvora and Cortegada), as well as essential information to prepare for the trip on each of them. In it you will find precise information on how to get there, where to spend the night or where to eat.
This guide received one of the grants from the Xunta de Galicia for initiatives in the area of socioeconomic influence of the National Park, financed with Next Generation funds, and has the collaboration of the scientific publication Gciencia. The manual can be found in PDF format through the official page of the National Park of the Atlantic Islands soon. In addition, on this portal you can also find an interactive map in which you can create your own itinerary.
