According to the latest edition of the Trend Reports for the 2025 Summer Season, prepared by Turespaña’s Overseas Tourism Boards, our country continues to hold the lead in markets such as Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom has consolidated its position as the main source market for tourists to Spain, although a shift in tourists to the spring and fall seasons is beginning to be observed.
France continues to enjoy stable demand and moderate growth, although the study indicates that the international geopolitical situation will be a factor to monitor, especially in relation to the United States.
Germany maintains demand, although air bookings are slowing due to rising prices and competition.
Other countries interested in Spain include Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway, although they are showing signs of stabilization or slight declines in bookings.
Regarding long-haul travel, the United States continues to set record arrivals, driven especially by cultural and urban tourism, with a long average stay and high average spending.
Other countries showing positive trends with growth opportunities include Brazil, Japan, Argentina, India, and Australia.
The forecasts for this summer are very positive, and in this regard, the sustainability and management of mass tourism will be relevant and decisive for the development of tourism.
