The Official Document of Galicia published at the end of June the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies for the Carrying out training programs in entities and companies linked to strategic economic sectors in Galicia. This program of the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth seeks to promote practical training and contact with the business fabric by young people.

 

Xuventude Mentoring na Empresa aims to strengthen the employability and professional skills and competencies of people between the ages of 18 and 30 enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System.

 

Proposals submitted by entities and municipalities must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 participants, and their training stay will be three consecutive months, with a minimum duration of 100 hours per month and a minimum of four days a year. week. The maximum amount of the subsidy that will be awarded to each entity to start its training project is 120,000 euros. The contribution includes a training scholarship per participant of a minimum of 630 euros per month, which may be increased by 100 euros for travel costs and another 100 for people with a disability equal to or greater than 33%.

 

The programs presented must have a complementary training plan in skills and competencies for employment, with a minimum of 20 teaching hours and a tutor in charge of monitoring their stay.

 

The companies or entities, both public and private, where the stays are made, must be Galician or have work centers in Galicia, and be linked to the following sectors: aeronautics, agri-food, biotechnology, automotive, renewable energy, wood/forestry , metalworking, naval, natural stone, textiles/fashion, information and communication technologies, and quality of life and well-being.

 

The Xunta de Galicia allocates 1.2 million euros to this new proposal, 80% financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) within the framework of the Youth Employment Operational Program 2014-2020.
