“Capuccino” and “Montadiño Ternera-Arzúa-Ulloa”, winners of Santiago(e)Tapas 2018

The eleventh edition of Santiago(e)tapas, the compostelana tapas contest organized jointly by Turismo de Santiago and the Compostela Hotel Association, concluded with the presentation of its prizes. A Viaje, Artesana, TS A Casa and Doña Ana are the establishments that distributed the main awards in an edition that had the participation of 68 establishments.

A total of 101 tapas were submitted to the competition in the first phase on 15 November and 2 December. The best ten tapas chosen by the jury went on to the grand final from 7 to 9 December, where the public and a new professional jury rated the finalists.

In total, more than 30,000 tapas were consumed in the 20 days of the competition and 21,700 valid votes were cast to choose the two public prizes, the result of the popular vote in the first phase, and the three final grand prizes, the joint result of the evaluation of the professional jury and the popular vote in the three days of the final.

The first prize went to “Montadiño Tenreira Arzúa-Ulloa” by A Viaxe, the second prize went to “Montadiño Tenreira Arzúa-Ulloa” by A Viaxe, the second prize went to “Croquette” by Artesana and the 3rd for “A Pataca Quechola” by Doña Ana. For the public the winners were “Capuccino” from Artesana and “Petisco galego 100% apt” from TS A Casa while the Premio(É)Tapas+, to the most active dynamizer in social networks went to @queverensantiago, Instagram user.
