Acluxega and Cluster Hold the Conference “Efficiency and Geothermal Energy in the Tourism Sector”

  • The meeting brought together tourism and energy professionals to discuss the sustainability and modernization of Galician accommodations.

 

The president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, participated last week in the opening of the conference “Efficiency and Geothermal Energy in the Tourism Sector,” organized by the Galician Geothermal Energy Cluster Association (Acluxega) in collaboration with the CTG.

 

The event, held at the Illustrious Official College of Industrial Engineers of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, brought together professionals from tourism, energy, and public administration to analyze the role of geothermal energy and energy efficiency in the transition toward a more sustainable and competitive tourism model.

 

The institutional welcome also included the participation of the Director of Tourism of Galicia, Xosé Manuel Merelles; the member of the ICOIIG Santiago delegation, José Manuel Lamela; and the president of Acluxega, Manuel López Portela.

The success stories presented included the IMI Hotel (Ourense), the Pincheiro Apartments (A Pobra do Caramiñal), and the Gandarela Rural House and the Ferramenteiro Hostel (Portomarín), examples that demonstrate how the implementation of geothermal solutions can improve comfort, reduce consumption, and strengthen the sustainability of Galician tourist accommodations.
