BTL Lisboa is synonymous with innovation and creating opportunities for its participants. And, one more year, the Galicia Tourism Cluster attended the great tourist event in the Portuguese capital.
Through the 50 invitations provided by the Galician Tourism Agency, the CTG facilitated the participation of the Galician tourism sector in this internationally renowned fair. Several Galician companies were present, and they used the work tables at the Turismo de Galicia stand to hold meetings with professionals from the Portuguese market sector, as well as from other international markets.
In addition, the CTG participated in the Hosted Buyer program, organized by the BTL, with the catalogs of major inbound travel agencies in and with the luxury tourism catalog. Within the framework of the same program, meetings were held with different tour operators from the United Kingdom, Brazil, the Philippines, the United States, Australia and Spain. Some of them were interested in incorporating their offer in the Galicia destination; and others, who already included it in their programs, wanted to expand their offer with new Galician destinations and different experiences. He highlighted his interest in cultural tourism and food and wine, two pillars of the Galicia destination.
The president of the Galician Tourism Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, also attended the event, receiving at the Galicia stand the visit of the Spanish ambassador to Portugal, Juan Fernández Trigo, and the counselor of the technical tourism office in Lisbon, Yolanda Martínez Pipe-Cortés.
This edition had a greater influx of professionals and final audiences than previous editions. More than 1,500 exhibitors from all Portuguese regions and countries such as Spain, Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba, Tunisia and Cape Verde were part of this BTL 2024, adding more than 85 international destinations.
