This Monday, May 27, the president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, announced the renewal of the Tourist Bond program for Galicia, where 1 million euros will be invested with the expectation of mobilizing 2.5 million euros during the fall in the Galician tourism sector.
The initiative, which is in its fourth edition, will put 16,000 new vouchers into circulation that can be downloaded in QR code format with an amount of 150 euros per voucher, where 40% is financed by the Xunta de Galicia and the remaining amount is paid by the applicant.
As a novelty compared to other years, each user will be able to download up to 2 vouchers to redeem at one of the participating establishments between September 10 and December 25, 2024. In addition, the voucher will be paid at the time of download and not later, like other years.
The president of the Cluster, Cesáreo Pardal, was speaking about all of this on Tuesday morning on the Galician Radio program “Galicia por delante”, where he reaffirmed the success of the initiative during previous years and the intention of the bonus to act against deseasonalization, benefiting different types of tourism businesses, especially rural accommodation or accommodation with thermal offerings, as well as agencies that offer packages that include gastronomic options.
The forecast is that the bonds can be downloaded from the end of June. Interested persons can do so through the bonoturismo.gal website.
