Turislab selects the first 12 projects of its third edition

  • Proposals that promote tourism as a rural driver, initiatives that propose artificial intelligence solutions to tourism companies, or companies that promote sustainable and responsible tourism, among others, were selected.

 

The tourism business accelerator, Turislab, led by the Xunta de Galicia, together with the Chamber of Commerce of Pontevedra, Vigo and Vilagarcía de Arousa and the Alto Minho Intermunicipal Community (CIM AM), has already selected the 12 projects that will go to the training and mentoring stage.

 

Turislab is an initiative belonging to INTERREG of the European Commission, which finances cooperation projects that promote regional development and cohesion through the European Regional Development Fund.

 

The selection committee, which included several associations from the Galician tourism sector, selected 12 startups that are focused, among other issues, on offering sustainable tourism proposals, bringing artificial intelligence solutions to small tourism companies, promoting economic revitalization initiatives in the rural, or promote responsible tourism. The startups now begin the training and mentoring phase, with which they will give life to their projects to make them a reality. Those selected from this phase were:

 

  • Barvantia, a company that organizes personalized experiences for caravanners.
  • Byroomnumbers, a company that offers online check-in services for hotels, allowing the personalization of stays.
  • Ecocabans, a sustainable tourism experience in eco-efficient cabins.
  • Exylon, an initiative that offers small tourism companies artificial intelligence solutions for market analysis and business optimization.
  • Galisacra, a company that offers personalized wellness packages focused on rural well-being and experiences on the Camino de Santiago.
  • Knowmad, an initiative that offers food and wine, industrial and thermal tourism packages, promoting sustainable experiences and the appreciation of local heritage.
  • Kooltural, a company that connects the public and potential visitors with cultural organizers.
  • Mvico, active tourism company in Galicia through personalized bicycle routes integrating local culture and gastronomy for a unique and complete cycling experience.
  • Popup Coliving, a consultancy for digital nomads on the Camino de Santiago.
  • Ruralife, a rural village project that rehabilitates rural structures for tourist accommodation with coworking and sustainability services.
  • Troulanda, a web platform that increases the visibility and business of tour operators in Galicia and Northern Portugal.
  • Yglu, an innovative software with artificial intelligence and Big Data for tourism that offers personalized trips and promotes responsible tourism.
