Portos de Galicia and Turismo de Galicia signed an agreement to continue to intensify their commitment to nautical tourism and the consolidation of Galicia as an increasingly competitive destination.

Once again this year, the nautical tourism offer of the Galician Community will be present again in the main professional fairs of this sector, in the French, British, German or Portuguese markets to promote the Galician port facilities and services for both sports sailing and tourism. This was confirmed by the Director of Tourism of Galicia, Nava Castro, and the President of Portos de Galicia, José Juan Durán, who signed a collaboration agreement at the Club Náutico de Boiro that will allow the Galician Community to intensify its promotion in Europe in the field of tourism and nautical activities to consolidate as an increasingly competitive destination.
With this agreement, Tourism of Galicia continues along the lines of the Galicia 2020 Tourism Strategy, the Galician tourism roadmap designed to strengthen the quality of Galician tourism so that travellers can enjoy the destination without hurrying and in which initiatives related to sailing are present across the board in almost half of the eleven lines of which it is composed.
To take advantage of the opportunities offered by the European market in this field and under this agreement, Tourism of Galicia and Ports of Galicia will jointly promote during this year port facilities and services for nautical sports and nautical tourism at major trade fairs such as the Grand Pavois Show in France, the Paris, London and Düsseldorf Boat Shows or the Southampton Boat Show in the United Kingdom.
There will also be promotional activities of the offer of nautical tourism in Portugal and Portos de Galicia will be presented in Ireland, in collaboration with Turespaña while the extension of the international network of recreational boating Passeport Escales in Galicia will be promoted.
