The need to adapt to the new demands of the tourist and to create products that go hand in hand, such as thermalism, culture and food and gastronomy in the framework of a tourism model focused on innovation, quality and sustainability were some of the axes around To which the third edition of the Annual Meetings of the Tourism Cluster of Galicia took place that were developed in the Cultural Center Marcos Valcárcel of Ourense in an annual appointment already consolidated with the sector in which the CTG once again had the support of both the sector With the participation of about 300 professionals, as well as of the different public administrations, with the support of Tourism of Galicia and the Diputación de Ourense.

Precisely in this sense was the general director of Turespaña, Manuel Butler, who participated in the inauguration on behalf of the Secretary of Tourism. Butler highlighted the Tourism Cluster of Galicia as an example of public-private cooperation and the work developed in these three years of existence of the entity to create a voice of the sector and work on the modernization, profitability and competitiveness of the Galician tourism model. The head of Turespaña mentioned the contribution of Galicia to the Spanish tourist success, with growth and job creation figures and stressed that the Galician tourism model is in syntony with Spanish.

The President of the Diputación, Manuel Baltar, for his part, also stressed the importance of holding these types of meetings, which serve to order and give value to products and tourism potential with both the province and the whole Of Galicia. Baltar emphasized the great versatility of the province of Ourense, which has facilities and potential to develop sports tourism, astroturismo, thermalism and, of course, gastronomic and ethnographic tourism and untie the initiatives put in place by the Diputación for the development of these products.
