According to a HometotoGo study of holiday rental bookings in Spain during 2017 that places the Basque Country and the Balearic Islands in the ranking of the most expensive provinces to rent a tourist flat.

With regard to the unstoppable growth of holiday rental in our country, HomeToGo has presented the Barometer of holiday rental bookings which analyses the average prices of holiday bookings made in Spain and shows the evolution of prices at provincial and regional level. This analysis provides an overview of the demand for holiday rentals in Spain, as well as observing price fluctuations as they approach or move away from peak seasons. This is a strategic analysis of the behaviour and interest of Spanish travellers based on bookings and average prices per night of the destinations analysed. Each average price has been calculated taking into account the price at which travellers have booked for holiday periods between 1 January and 31 December 2017.
Analysing the fluctuation in prices from the beginning of the year to the present, it can be seen that most regions have an upward trend in the summer months with a fall in prices from September onwards. In fact, 13 of the 17 autonomous communities have experienced a fall in average prices. According to this study, the Basque Country and the Balearic Islands have been the regions with the highest average prices in 2017 with 193€/night in the Basque case and 157€/night in the Balearic case. By contrast Murcia, La Rioja and Asturias have been the cheapest with average prices below 100€/night.
The average prices of the Galician provinces of Lugo and Ourense would also be found in this strip, with 83 euros/night and 90 euros/night, respectively. A Coruña, with 111 euros/night average price and Pontevedra with 136 euros/night, would be above that price range, with the province of Pontevedra reaching the highest prices in our territory.
