Special activities will take place on the weekend of 12 and 13 November

The Wine Route Rias Baixas already has its special schedule on the occasion of the European Day of Wine Tourism, which is celebrated on 13 November. The Vata Amateur Catamaran, an accessible visit and a catamaran tour with an annotated wine tasting from the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin will focus the proposals prepared by the non-profit association.

The first appointment will be held on Saturday, November 12 in the morning. About thirty members of the Down Compostela Foundation will visit an associated winery. The participants will have the opportunity to know firsthand the cycle of the vine and the process of elaboration of wines covered by the Denomination of Origin Rías Baixas.

That same day, at 19.00 hours, a new session of Navigating with the Route is organized. The leisure company partner Mares do Grove will host an annotated wine tasting of Rías Baixas that will be developed during a tour of the Ría de Arousa. The sommelier Nacho Costoya will be in charge of giving this session. The activity has a cost of 13 euros and a limit of 30 places.

The most multitudinous activity, and of totally gratuitous character, will be lived on Sunday November 13, European Day of Wine Tourism. The facilities of the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions José Peña de Cambados will host the Vata Amateur Ruta do Viño Rías Baixas. In it, attendees will become tasters for a day tasting and identifying different brands of wine. The opening of doors is planned for 10.30 hours. Capacity is limited to 100 participants.
