The unprecedented success of the initiative assists in the recovery of the sector that will have a multiplier effect

The tourist voucher card #QuedamosenGalicia21, an initiative of the Galicia Tourism Cluster and the Xunta, ran out a few hours after the deadline for submitting applications to the electronic headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia opened. By the time the application will be open for two days, nearly 30,000 available applications have already been registered, which far exceeds the budget reserved for this initiative. Bonuses will be assigned in order of presentation.

People who have not been able to benefit from the bonus and have requested it will be kept on a waiting list, which could be used if more funds are available. The sector has already asked the Autonomous Administration to study the possibility of expanding the budget in accordance with the high demand and with the beneficial effects of this action on the entire economy due to its ability to multiply: people who travel or enjoy tourist experience also eat and dine in destinations and shop in local stores.

Currently, about 800 companies have already joined the voucher to offer beneficiaries trips, stays, packages and tourist experiences.
