The Provincial Association of Hotel and Tourism Businesses of Lugo (Apehl) once again presented in Fitur the new edition of its tourist-gastronomic guide “E para comer, Lugo”, which this year is dedicated to the natural spaces of the province of Lugo. Under the title “Lugo, nos vamos de ruta”, the eleventh edition of this tourist guide gathers a collection of trails along the 13 counties of Lucenes, recommending in this tour the typical products of each place. The complete directory consists of 132 pages, which are divided into three distinct sections. The first one covers the most outstanding routes of the 67 municipalities of Lugo, with an introduction that brings us the true purpose and philosophy with which it was created as a guide. The other two chapters are already more common sections, such as the album dedicated to the presence of the Apehl in the Vuelta Ciclista a España and the directory in which all the associated establishments in the province of Lugo can be found in alphabetical order. It also has a map of the roads of Santiago de Compostela that cover the province for a total of 800 kilometers of route and an index with tourist services, transport, roads and information points most outstanding.
The publication has a print run of 15,000 copies that are distributed in tourist offices, hostels, trade fairs, hotels and other establishments associated with the Apehl, as well as in all stages of the Tour of Spain, in addition to having a digital edition on the website www.eparacomerlugo.es.
The president of the Association, after stressing the importance of promoting the province in a specialized and joint way, stressed Lugo what “is land of good products, exquisite dishes and gastronomic culture difficult to forget, which is why our brand E eating, Lugo continues to adapt year after year so well to our objectives.
Xantar, revitalizer of Galician gastronomy
The participation of Portugal as a guest country as well as the celebration of tastings commented in the stand of Galicia have consolidated the dynamic role of Xantar in Galician gastronomic tourism. One more edition of the gastronomic event that annually hosts Expourense traveled to Madrid to invite the traveler to enjoy a thermal and enogastronomic experience in Ourense. The “II Gastronomic Tourism Workshop” was also organized, with the participation of tour operators who attended presentations and B2B meetings with representatives of the different gastronomic destinations present at the show.
Wine and lamprey in O Condado-Paradanta
The gastronomic section in Fitur also had the participation of O Condado-Paradanta, which under the slogan “Arbo awake your five senses” focused on the promotion of the LVIII Festa da Lamprea (27,28 and 29 April, the oldest gastronomic festival in Galicia, declared last year as a Festival of National Tourist Interest) and, also, the Festa da Lamprea Seca.
Of rock presses and guides
In the same way that Ribeiro brought to the stand of Galicia its excellence as a territory marked by the thermal waters and wine of a territory of enormous patrimonial and cultural richness around Ribadavia and its “istoria”, the Association of Gallaecia Sommeliers, which was in charge of the wine tasting that were held in the Galician stand, also presented its latest publications, the Guide of Wines and Distillates of Galicia 201. The stones that made wine, with which these professionals want to make known the enormous historical heritage of wine that Galicia treasures and which could well become a good of interest worth preserving.
