Record revenue for Galician hotels in September.

  • Hotels and guesthouses closed September with a turnover of €53.4 million thanks to international tourism.

 

According to data published by the National Institute of Statistics, Galician hotel establishments registered 645,000 guests, 2.5% more than last year.

 

Regarding revenue, Galician hotels and guesthouses closed September with an estimated turnover of €53.4 million, representing a 4.3% increase compared to the same month in 2024 and the highest figure in the historical series for September.

 

The main driver of this growth was international tourism, which reached 414,000 overnight stays (a record high), up 3.2% compared to 2024.

This segment represents 37% of hotel demand in our region, a share that has grown for five consecutive years.

 

Regarding source markets, the US has established itself as the leader, with more than 51,000 travelers in September, followed by Portugal and Germany.
