Mountain Station Oca Nova Manzaneda hosts on 9 and 10 April the “I Galician Congress Snow and Mountain. Integrating security, sports, nature and sustainable development”, which will be addressed in a multidisciplinary way the challenges that sports, labor and economic activities taking place in the high mountain areas faces. Organized by the municipality of Manzaneda in collaboration with Turismo de Galicia, the congress aims to appointment to the different agents and companies from different sectors involved in the activities taking place in such areas, with frequent presence of snow.

Meanwhile the Director of Tourism of Galicia, Nava Castro, stressed the great importance of a hill station like that allows you Manzaneda sport to enjoy the scenery of the area. In this sense, Castro highlighted the big bet Manzaneda generate sustainable tourism, one of the challenges that stable Integral Tourism Plan Galicia. In this regard, the Director of Tourism of Galicia stressed that the City of Manzaneda, “a pioneer in promoting sustainable tourism training and development” is helping to meet this challenge. Also, Nava Castro said it is essential that companies and industry professionals also work on the basis of this model the protection of resources.
