The Xunta de Galicia will fund 56 projects throughout Galicia to develop initiatives to beautify accommodation, restaurants, and wineries, launch digital projects linked to food and wine resources, and/or expand and improve accommodation capacity for this type of tourism.
A Coruña will have 7 funded projects, Lugo 10, Ourense 20, and Pontevedra 19.
The funded projects range from energy efficiency initiatives (aerothermal and solar photovoltaic), improvements to the expansion of wine tourism offerings, and expansion of accommodation capacity, to the design, implementation, and digitalization of new wine tourism experiences.
These grants are part of the various projects that the Xunta is implementing thanks to European funds allocated to Galicia. More specifically, they are part of the Galician Territorial Food and Wine Plan designed by the Xunta for 2025 with €34.5 million and comprised of three cohesion actions in the form of aid lines, as well as a dozen Sustainable Tourism Destination Plans in a total of 80 Galician municipalities.
